I didn’t set out to be a nurse. I became one because of what it’s like to be the patient.
I served in the Army and separated in December 2004. In 2010, after life-changing surgery for complications of ulcerative colitis, I started down a different path. I’d spent a lot of time on the other side of the exam table by then — long enough to know the difference between a provider who’s listening and one who’s already reaching for the door.
I built my career one license at a time: LPN, then RN, then Nurse Practitioner. Over a decade in nursing, the last five as an NP. Much of it was travel nursing — home health, hospitals, long-term care — caring for people on the hardest days of their lives, often people with no one else in their corner.
That’s what I brought with me when I opened Rewind Time.
Aesthetics and wellness aren’t separate from real medicine to me. You’re still a patient, with a history and a reason you walked through the door. So I take a history. I look at your whole face before I touch anything. And if I don’t think a treatment is right for you, I’ll say so — I’d rather lose the booking than sell you something you don’t need.
